Righteous Lover Brand Jeans

Righteous Lover Brand Jeans is a startup jeans line which was born in March 2009. Although I have no background in fashion I have the vision of the line and I know it can be phenomenal. These jeans will represent all that is righteous in the world...helping animals, great wine, great film, great art, great friends and great love. Inspired by 'Faded Glory' Jeans from the 70s and True Religion.

In Search of Fashion Illustrators

I've been going through lots of portfolios of late trying to find a denim fashion illustrator/designer. That has been my biggest challenge since beginning this project but I have faith I will find them.

I've also been working on creating the Righteous Lover Splash page so that I can send designer prospects there so they can get an idea of what Righteous Lover Brand Jeans is all about.

Music for Rigtheous Lover

An ongoing list of songs I want to use:
  • Melt with You
  • Ghost In You
  • Magic Carpet Ride (Intro is brilliant)
  • Just Say Yes
  • Here comes the sun

John Keats and Righteous Lover

So many times I will be watching a movie and will get an idea for an ad for RL Jeans. A few nights ago I was watching 'Bright Star' the movie about romantic poet John Keats and his muse Fannie Braun and there was a scene in the rain that was brilliant. I post this now so I will not forget it!

Meeting with new fashion illustrator

I'm so excited to be meeting with Kate O' Connor a fashion illustrator out of Atlanta. In the few conversations we've had she really seems to 'get' the whole vibe of righteous lover. I am waiting on some pocket designs from Ursula which I should get in the next week.

I've also started creating some t-shirts through zazzle, although I will also be meeting with Ed Jewell of Danger Press to talk about manufacturing the t-shirts myself.

Brent Uhl

Had a great conversation with Brent Uhl tonite. Brent has denim in his blood and has worked for Levis, Wrangler and Cone just to name a few. We talked all things denim and reminisced on college days circa 1983. We both attended Belmont College, a private Baptist college in Nashville, TN . Anyway, Brent was gracious and so knowlegeable and generous....thank you Brent Uhl.
